OGN-R PilotAware / Re: Server down?
« Last Post by steveu on December 15, 2025, 10:47:34 pm »
iOS is just a Unix with fancy clothes and an expensive price tag...  ;)

A lot of the programs on Linux are the same ones... Teams, Chrome, Zoom, etc...

In the work environment, you'll need either Windows or iOS, but older, no longer supported laptops and desktops on either iOS or Windows work fine when wiped and repurposed...  end of line Macbooks with Intel processors are a good case in point, excellent hardware, with loads of life in it, prematurely sent to land fill...

Rosetta and ATOM run on Linux...  ;)

OGN-R PilotAware / ADS-B to OGN

Will PilotAware also be able to transmit ADS-B positions to (OGN) Gliderradar in the future? So far, only the FLARM data transmitted by PilotAware can be seen there. Other data providers have recently started sending ADS-B data there as well.

Hi,

Renewal sub paid, I just wondered how is the renewal / extension managed. Will it automatically extend adter the expiry date, do we have to connect the PAW to the net to update the license info,  or is a new code sent ?

Thanks

General Discussion / Remote Internal Antennas - 2 meter - free to good home
« Last Post by francoisvl on October 24, 2025, 05:25:32 pm »
When I bought my FX, I knew the 2m aerials would be too long so I ordered 1m ones which are much more suitable. I wish this was an option on ordering. However, now I have two remote internal antennas with 2m cables - reception at 869.5 MHz and 1090 MHz. If anyone has any use for these I could send them for fiver to cover postage.

I have downloaded the track files for that day if they are of any diagnostic use.

They will be if you want to have a look yourself.

Navigate to:

https://playback.pilotaware.com/playback

and upload a file where you saw the problem. I'd suggest you avoid making the file public unless you want to.

Now, with the uploaded file processed, drag the white ball along the timeline. You should see the track you recorded in the PAW, along with the number of satellites you were seeing plus any recorded traffic.
