Would still prefer it to be pwd protected if it's not a huge job to do. At my local field you sometimes park quite close to public areas.
Hiding an SSID is far from fool proof and simple packet logging apps will find it in seconds. But yeah, the risk really is minimal I guess that someone would be there with the skills just to mess anyone with a PAW up.

Clearly it's all about risk vs effort to do. If it's a big job then fair enough we're not talking high risk but if it's straight forward then why wouldnt the risk be mitigated or at least let users decide if they add a password or not on their own PAW? ...as long as there is some way to reset when the eventual phone call comes to say " I've forgot my password" doh!
