General Discussion / Only PAW showing on vector
« on: March 24, 2023, 05:51:10 pm »
Hi All,
Just done a check on vector for my aircraft and only the PAW is showing, nothing reported for any other mode.
I have the classic version connected via the correct cable to my Trig TT31 transponder for ADSB out.
I wonder if the avionics engineer at the recent annual has reset the transponder, although when not recieving a gps signal the transponder reports it, and this it has not done.
Are there any checks I can do to troubleshoot.
I can provide the hex code if this will assist.
cheers

Technical Support / Re: New update new upgrade via Router
« on: July 02, 2019, 08:45:07 pm »
Colin,
I'm going from memory here, not updated my classic for a while.
After you have waited your 20 mins unplug from router.
Connect your WiFi dongle and log back into PAW.
Go to settings page.
Find software update click it.
You should then see a new file ready to be installed.
Install.
You will know when it's installed, your dongle will disconnect.
Try that.
Cheers
Neil

Technical Support / Re: Cant download new version
« on: August 01, 2017, 11:12:26 pm »
Hi All,
I can't download the new software.
I have tried the following.
Over the net which worked last time, plugged in the router left it 30 minutes and update was complete.
This does not work now.
I have tried downloading to a stick following the procedure laid down PAW, nope that doesn't work either.
I have tied removing the wi-fi dongle, and connecting to router nope that doesn't work, get the same message back unable to find server or words to that effect.
Finally tried to do it manually by going to the page and initiating a software update, nope...........
I give up
Stuck on old version till someone helps me out.
I also notice each time I power up I don't always get all four greens, is there an internal problem, its intermittent?
Usually it the ADSB that falls over but I have has the PAW and the ADSB fall over.
I think help required.

Cheers
Neil

Technical Support / Radio License?
« on: March 24, 2017, 08:27:03 am »
Hi Guys,
I am asked by my CAMO whether the transmitter (500mw erp) complies with IR 2030 in all respects for an installed pilot aware.
That being the case then no specific installation approval will be required for an Easa Aircraft as it will not need to be entered on the radio license.
Can anyone help with this subject?
Cheers
Neil.

General Discussion / Plug and Play
« on: December 23, 2015, 10:27:24 am »
Hi Guys,
I have registered for the "in stock" notification but I wondered how close we were to actually having the stock.
Since "Flyer Live" I have had my Trig TT31 transponder updated with the latest software to enable Pilot Aware to integrate, I now await the arrival of the stock.

Cheers
Neil.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for this I have copied my engineers, my TT31 is off back to Trig tomorrow for the upgrade in the software.
I will see if your post will convince  my maintenance guys who on the phone were very jittery.
cheers
Neil.

General Discussion / EASA Aircraft
« on: November 30, 2015, 12:24:49 pm »
I went to the Flyer live and sat through the presentation, understood most of it and registered for when stock arrives when I got home.
I will need to have my TT31 software updated, so asked my maintenance organisation to remove the transponder and have it ready to collect.
He is doubting whether this device is legal in and EASA aircraft.
He informs me all ADSB out has to be TSO'd via a permanentpanel mount certified GPS.
Can anyone confirm that it is ok to install in my 172 for me before I remove the TT31?

Thanks

Neil.
