OGN-PAW traffic representation
« on: July 02, 2017, 07:28:36 pm »
Traffic over OGN-PAW Station PWThame for the last week. Cub wonders why some see the importance of listening to FLARM traffic!
This is just PAW and FLARM traffic. The colour is controlled by the ICAO code of the aircraft. Note that the playback on Google Earth is a bit ropey.

The application I have written still needs a lot of work, but it takes the data stream from the OGN-PAW station and processes it into a KML file. A weeks file is about 20mb, but will go up massively once I get fitted with the correct antenna. So will the fur-ball of traffic  :o

Did he really say that  :-\
Thats quite disappointing
The whole reason we kickstarted this initiative was following the fatality between a powered and glider at Husbands Bosworth last year.

Btw, I cannot read this format from ios device, I will try my PC later

Thx

Not in the same words Lee, but he is adamant that ADSB is the way we should be doing it now.

Trying to change the file format, but the quality takes a dive, so upped the quality
Now the file is a bit too big at 10mb MPEG files are so much bigger than AVI
