Hi, Using Radar on my IPad and Iphone I see all the aircraft but the buttons top left for height and distance will not change from original settings. Any ideas ?

That unusual. It works on my iPad and iPhone. They are obviously done by touch screen. Are you saying that you can't change it at all or that the PilotAware doesn't remember to where you last reset it when you re-boot the system.

neither change from the original settings. The buttons for + or - don't seem to work.

That is very unusual, I have not heard of that issue on iPad or iPhone.
I have heard of issues with out of date browsers on Android.
Can I ask what version of IOS these devices are running ?

Thx

Rmcaree,

When I first used radar I also thought that the buttons wouldn't work on my iPad. I found out the reason being they are kind of 'counter-intuitive', meaning you'll have to press '+' when you think you'll have to press '-' and vice versa.

Best regards

Hi I am using iOS 10.2.1 on both.
I will try the counter intuitive method when next near the aeroplane.
Thanks

I experienced the same problem initially. I'm sure there's a good reason, for the apparent counter-intuitive operation of the zoom buttons etc.

Hi all,

Just wondering - is this counter intuitive ?

To increase the zoom level, press '+', this will zoom in to the radar display
To decrease the zoom level, press '-', this will zoom out of the radar display.

If I open google maps and click the '+' button, it zooms into the area, if I click '-' it zooms out of the area

This seems logical, am I missing something, or do I have it back to front ?

Thx

That's correct as far as I am concerned Lee.

The zoom is intuitive to me, IIRC originally there was numbers for range alongside the buttons, which would have made it appear counterintuitive?
However the altitude is represented by numbers that go up when you press the - sign. With no graphical view of altitude band it does appear counterintuitive.

I suspect the issue experienced by Rmcaree is not the same as the one Eric is reporting, and he may be talking about altitude?

I have no button issues on my iPad or iPhone, may be best for Rmcree to reformat his SD card and reinstall?
