Hi Graham,
Sorry - busy again yesterday.
Yes, aircraft locations can be determined from the database by searching 'My Plane' by Hex ID (provided the correct Hex ID is installed in both PAW and Transponder of course). I have just had a look and there are plenty of PAW and ADSB records for 4019F9 from multiple sites (and reported by other aircraft via iGRID) from the 20th and 23rd of February, but none whatsoever for that Hex ID from the 22nd, so not sure why Vector should be reporting data for that date.
I have also had a look at the playback, which definitely shows an aircraft with that HexID appearing suddenly just south of Newport at about 03:58 on the 22nd, then flying east to west past to the south of PWCaradoc at a pretty steady straight and level 3,800ft or so before disappearing just as suddenly as it appeared at about 04:09 - though none of this is showing on the PAW database (or at least not where I can find it).
As I mentioned above, I know Chris has been working to improve and refine the data collection and review functions over the past couple of weeks, so that might have something to do with what we are seeing. If this is the case, apologies for any confusion.
Best Regards
Peter
