Ah, that may be why mine started working, I have just remembered that I deleted the WiFi connection (Forget this network) and reconnected. That would put it back to DHCP.

Fleagle, when using DHCP, you can stop that connectivity error box by setting SD connectivity to Off-Line. Need to turn it back on when you want to update weather and NOTAMS.

Yeah I know about switching off SD connectivity for planning  and in flight mode but that's not the point really.  I was hoping to get back to what we used to have. I.e. The paw hotspot not fooling iOS services into thinking that it has Internet connectivity when it clearly doesn't. Plus I use a number of other apps that need internet connectivity. Yes there is a fudge workaround but hardly slick or convenient.

I look forward to Lee issuing the proper fix.

Cheers
Neil.

sorry to be clear the latest hot fix 20170721 fixes the issues nicely - no drops from sky demon, 3g/4g connectivity while connected to the PAW wifi hotspot and lots of lovely traffic to see in SD via pilot aware connection.  ;D
