As mentioned by someone earlier in the thread I tried changing the iPhone setting for the PAW wifi on my iPhone to static 192.168.1.2 with mask 255.255.255.0 (no router nor DNS entry) and although this then let my iPhone use 3g/4g for internet connectivity while connected to the paw WIFI, when I then tried to "fly" in sky demon and selected "pilot aware" rather than as previous flarm, skydemon just sat there with a message "connecting to device" eventually timing out saying "connection to gps is lost"
Hi Fleagle, I had the same issue with mine and managed to resolve it. I wish I could say exactly what I did, but it suddenly started working as advertised. Steps I Know I took are
1. Checked SD location Services are set to 'Always'
2. Shut all applications down.
3. Rebooted my iPad
4. fire up PAW and connect to its WiFi Hot Spot
5. Check it has a GPS fix (green light on home page)
6. Start SD and then 'Use PilotAware'
Can you try these please and let me know how you get on? Lee is aware that I had this issue, now we are two :-)
Cheers
Ian
