So I couldn't wait for the weekend and headed over to the airfield after work.

Success!!  The ADS-B dongle was at fault.  I swapped it out keeping everything else the same, so the same aerials mounted within the pod; and the attached pics show the results.

Saw lots of traffic, CAT and GA.

Also received a perfectly audible 'Traffic' alert with the traffic exactly where the PAW voice told me to look.

And my radio was fine; no interference.

It really does seem like that dodgy ADS-B dongle was the cause of all my problems.

Thanks for all your help.

Best regards

Stu,

Glad to hear you have finally got things working. I'm pretty sure that is the first SDR Dongle I have heard of going faulty other than a few examples which failed due to overheating early in the development programme, so I guess you were just unlucky.

That's certainly what I would expect to see both on your PAW Traffic Screen and Nav System display. You will probably need to close your filters down a bit for practical routine operation, but leave them fairly open until you get used to the various alerts.

Any probs come back on here or drop me a pm.

Best Regards
