GPS input from FLARM Mouse

Hi Lee,
Fiddling around with FLARM and RS232 this afternoon I noticed that the green receive light, on the RS232 cable, would pulse at 1Sec intervals 19 or 20 pulses then stop for approx. 1 minute. On the home screen the GPS-USB messages count also has pauses, but these do not correlate to the status of the green light. I only seem to get a positive count, approx. +20 on GPS messages on the third or fourth refresh, the rest being zero.

I know that The FLARM Mouse is sending messages continuously as I have a 'Y' lead of two RS232 leads and can monitor the output in Hype! terminal on the PC. So this isn't a FLARM issue.

This is very different to the GPS mouse where I get +30 messages every refresh.

Is there an issue?

Hi Ian

Enable the NMEA logging.
Then in the logging window, all of the messages will have a timestamp, this should give an indication of any issues I think?

Thx

Odd, Rebooted the PAW and it's working as I would have expected, with a green flash every second.

Not sure if we should delete this thread or leave it and keep an eye on what it does in the future.
