PilotAware detecting my own transponder

Whilst using pilotaware I am getting constant warnings about my own aircraft.  How can I disable to avoid false warnings?

Are the Warnings Audio, Visual or both ?
Are the Visual Warnings Positioned(ADS-B), or bearingless(Mode-C/S) targets ?

In order to filter your own transponder, please perform the following

1. Add your transponder ICAO code to PilotAware
go to the PilotAware Home Page
http://192.168.1.1
Select 'Configure'
Enter your transponder 6 digit code in the Entry 'Hex-ID'
Now press Save

2. If you are enabling Mode-C(Beta), ensure the Entry 'Mode-C/S Select'
is set to include the option '+Filter', this attempts to remove your own
Mode-C transmission
Now press Save

Warnings are visual. Not using audio. The warnings are ADS-B. I have ADS-B transponder TRIG21. Is this a specific 6-digit code for the unit, or generic for the type; where do I find it? I'm away at work at the moment so can't do any changes until Sunday.

Great thats pretty simple to correct.
if you look up your aircraft reg on G-INFO http://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplication.aspx?appid=1
enter your reg and you can find your ICAO Hex Code, eg this is mine G-PAWZ

ICAO 24 bit aircraft address:
Binary: 0100_00_000_101_00_1001101111
Hex: 40526F
Octal: 20051157

Great. Updated the Hex code, so fingers crossed. I wasn't able to find where to make the 2. change - enabling Mode C. I don't see the entry 'Mode C/S select' to change to '+Filter'. See screenshot attached.

You need to download the latest PilotAware software which is 20160820.

I've got 20160530 installed. When I check for updates it says No software update available.

IIRC it is better to download the update to a PC and do a full reformat of the SD card. It's a pain to have to enter you details and license key again, but it will allow updates from a USB pen drive and writing the logs to it.

Your PAW will not download updates unless connected to the internet, preferably via your home router.

I suggest you follow this advice from Lee's most recent post on updating - saves having to reformat the card and re-enter licence details again. Unplug your WiFi dongle as Lee suggests before connecting to your router and all will be fine.

Still struggling updating Peter. I'm following the guide and got to the stage of Pi connected to router. iPad reconnected via wifi to Pi but 192.168.1.1 page now won't open - download line stopped moving. When Pi is not connected to router confit page opens as normal.

This is the short version
Disconnect all dongles from pilotaware
Connect pilot aware to router
Connect power to pilotaware
Go and make a cup of tea in 20 minutes return
Disconnect power
Disconnect from router
Insert all dongles to pilotaware
Connect power to pilotaware

Go to pilotaware update web page
Install updates

That should do it
