Many thanks in anticipation

Hi Dave,

Once PilotAware is booted up and running, connect your tablet device or PC to the WiFi Hotspot

In a web browser go to this page
http://192.168.1.1

Select 'Configure'
The most important entries are

Hex-ID
This should be the 6 digit hex code for your A/C you can find this on ginfo
http://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplication.aspx?appid=1

Flight-ID
This is the text that will appear on other tablet displays for your A/C, so usually your tailreg
eg, G-ABCD

This is enough to get you going, for full details please refer to this document, under
Documentation & Getting Started
http://forum.pilotaware.com/index.php/topic,468.0.html

Thx
Lee

Hi Lee, I think more work is needed to educate the masses on those two ID's

I spotted these two today in the Enstone/Oxford possibly Evesham area 856483!#856483# and C73270!C73270 Which the PAWRT line confirms are PAW units. The first looks more like the serial number of the Radio unit? If it is then you should be able to alert the user of the incorrect config. interestingly the first one appears with and without the # in the second part, wonder if someone if fiddling?

Going to have to get cracking on some software to plot the actual locations of targets... sounds of dusting off old books  ::)

Cheers
