Red light is on and is flashing  .   Latest software dawnloaded , unziped , copied to formatted memory card. Only HDMI screen is connected apart of the wifi stick and rtl dongle.

I did try also stratux before i found this one ,it did work . I could connect to the its wifi spot via 192.168.10.1 and did show the traffic over London but not on the air nav pro.

Also at the bottom the boot screan i have red [FAIL] startpar: services returned failure : rc.local ... FAILED

Can I confirm you are running a PiB+, not a Pi2 ?
And what version of PilotAware are you using ?

It is PI2 model B 1gb ram
Software version is the latest from download section

Sorry to inform you but at present the Pilotaware is only compatible with raspberry pi B+ 500mb
