Is my Pi bust too
« on: March 06, 2025, 01:34:56 pm »
I seem to have the same problem as Richard(post 5/3/25)
All good with my Rosetta until 2/52 ago. Now although it works on ground and in the air including audio warnings, I am unable to connect to the unit to configure it from my Iphone.
Sadly I cant see the lights as the installation is quite difficult to access.
Licence in date, iphone settings ok. Using the recommended Anker power core. Could the power core suddenly semi fail to cause this issue?
Any help would be appreciated.
BTW I am very untechnical

Try adjusting the wifi signal level both up and down.

Thanks for the suggestions so far nothing seems to improve. Its got me Beat! Tried back at the aircraft and It just drops WIFI connection. It just refuses to stay connected. It now also drops connection at home too.  I've just about given up with it.

I've just noticed the Red And Green lights on the Pilot Aware transmitter board have stopped flashing alternate now the connection is lost (not PI)

PI Board now just has Red Light and no Green.

Did it connect properly at home before?

I'd be tempted, if you've got it at home, to plug a monitor into the HDMI socket and see if it gets to a login screen at the end of the boot up.

If it doesn't, get a fresh SD card and install the software onto that, followed by licence key entry.

Then try again. Home router cnnection can be a problem if your router is using the 192.168.1.1 address for itself.

Steve,
Yes It boots up fine, right up to the login after monitoring on HDMI. I can at first Log into PA setup pages for about 10mins then it drops out and the unable to conect. (No WIFI from PA. I'm convinced its something to do with the PI but don't have another to test with. The same thing happens on iPhone and 2 X iPads.

I've decide its time for an upgrade instead of buying another PI to eliminate that possible problem. FX is now ordered and hopefully arrive early in the week.

It a shame the Exchange is not avalabe or i would have sent it back for the team to check it over. I suppose I could have sent it back for cheeking but decided an up grade was the way to go. I have a few questions about the FX which will be asked in the correct thread.

I think I can now say now Resoled but unknown issue.

Thanks for the help.
Richard.
