Author Topic: Updating Classic from RPi 2 to RPi3 - how long to obtain license key?  (Read 3793 times)

Hi,

I have replaced the old Raspberry Pi 2 in my PAW Classic with a Raspberry Pi 3 and have emailed support@pilotaware.com to request my license be transferred to the new device.  Does anyone know how long it normally takes for this to be done?

Also, I noticed that the homepage on the new device says "PilotAware Rosetta-RX" where on the old Pi 2 it said "PilotAware Classic" - is this expected, even though I'm using the same version of the PAW software and the same classic PAW bridge?

Many thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

Thought I had replied to this weeks ago. IIRC I was in the middle of drafting a reply and must have got distracted as I just found the draft on this iPad (which I don’t normally use for the Forum)  :-\

Ash usually responds to licence transfer requests same day - or within a couple of days at most. He might have been away at the time - I take it you have got this sorted?

The software recognises that you have upgraded to a new Pi version and adjusts the Homepage title accordingly (Rosetta-RX to distinguish it from the Classic and the new Rosetta-FX).

Hope this helps clarify.

Best Regards
Peter
