Rosetta Intermittent But Mostly Not Working
« on: November 19, 2024, 12:09:05 pm »
My Rosetta (with external antennae) used to work fine, but for the past 6 months or so it has become intermittent.  It still occasionally shows the odd ADS-B contact, but it mostly shows nothing.  It still broadcasts as all my flights show up on my base station, but I'm seeing more or less no traffic.  I didn't change power leads or power supply before this problem started, but I have since tried new leads (all good quality, low AWG cables), a new Anker power supply of the recommended type, but no joy.

Hi Alistair,

Have you checked the COAX connections to ensure they’re secure and haven’t been snagged or loosened? The issue you’re describing seems more likely to be within the RF chain rather than related to power.

It might also be worth checking if any filters have been accidentally enabled that could be hiding traffic beyond a specific range or altitude.
