ADS-B status line

This may have been answered before. I was tracking a friend's aircraft today with my PAW Classic. The traffic page showed only CS, and nothing in the ADS-B status line, but PAW Playback Grid and PAW Vector both show that he is transmitting ADS-B well. What am I missing?

This is exactly what my old Funke TXP with a GPS NMEA input used to do. The reason why I bought a new one when the Funke updates didn't include my transponder due to its age.
