GPS issue
« on: May 30, 2021, 08:40:09 am »
Hi All,
We have been successfully running a Rosetta for a couple of years but yesterday encountered a problem with loss of GPS signal in flight to two independent iPad minis. Booted up ok on the ground. We’re using an ‘approved’ hard-wired power supply (iCharge I think) and the unit itself sits under glass at the back of the cockpit with a clear view of the sky but we don’t use a GPS mouse. Once the signal was lost it could be regained by ‘Stop Navigating-Go Flying-reselect PaW as location source’ but after a few minutes the GPS was lost again. Checked the power supply connections with nothing obviously loose. Any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot this? The only recent change to the system was entering a new licence key. Up to now the system has worked very well and even better after fitting external aerials. Thanks, Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Power up your PAW and Log onto the PAW WiFi, then enter 192.168.1.1 in your browser of choice to bring up the Home Screen.

Track files are on the Tracks Tab at the extreme Top Right. You can download them, or in some cases e-mail them straight from your phone or tablet.

Peter

Is it possible to post the track files from an iPad?

I guess not as the file size would be too large?

Adrian,

I can certainly send them by e-mail from my iPad via the airfield WiFi to my home address. I do so regularly.

Peter
