Our installation in our aeroplane means that the leads on the remote aerials are short by about 30cm. is there anyway to extend them

Hi John

Unfortunately not

The best thing to do is to get some made up. By one of the cable manufacturing companies.

If you do this I will give you a refund on the cables

Hi John,

You don’t say WHICH remote antennas you are using. The connections on the end of Rosetta are ‘SMA Female’ so you need ‘SMA Male’ on the matching cable ends. If you are using the PAW External antennas, the connectors on them are ‘BNC Female’, so you need ‘BNC Male’ on the matching cable ends.

Beware you may also come across RP-SMA (Reverse Polarity SMA) in which the ‘Male’ connector has the socket and the ‘Female’ connector has the pin. They WILL NOT fit with ‘normal’ SMA - just be careful.

Regards

Peter
