G-Mouse

    I got a G-Mouse you suggested earlier on in one of the forum threads.  It arrived on the Slow Boat this weekend so I have taken it for a test flight.
     The G-Mouse is in port 1 (Top Left) and I'm using The latest version of PAW 18.  It connect OK but as soon as you start to move it locks up on the Ipad. ADS-B traffic is still active.
     Is the a setting which needs to set in the web interface? or should it just be plug and play? I have not had this problem so far with the U-Blox7.

There are 2 versions, can you tell me what is reported in the web interface ?
(Or post screenshot)
If it is pl2303, then in the web interface configure the correct port/baud
The baud is most probably 9600, the ports ar numbered like this ...

            P1   |    P3
ETH-------------------------
            P2   |    P4

If it is not pl2303, it shoul configure automatically

Ok, there is no setup to be done.
As you can see it is receiving msgs, but has no fix.
Is it positioned where it can get a view of satellites ?

One important thing to know, the module needs to load its ephemeris data on first usage.
For mine this took about 30 mins of good visibility

   Yes, there is no GPS fix at home it was just to get the screen shot. The test was today at the Airfield. The start up was fine, all working fine, Receiving GPS as I taxi out but as soon as airborne it froze. I did not try to reconnect as I was on my own. On landing I re-tried in the car. same problem I drive out of the carpark and after about 200m GPS froze. ADSB still moving. Its a mystery.
