Possible to keep connected to mobile data as well as pilotaware?

Hi all,
Just wondering if I can keep my android phone or ipad receiving mobile data (4g) whilst connected to the pilotaware device which I use in skydemon.

I ask this as I like to keep the metars in skydemon upto date and occasionally want to search things on my phone, looking for airport approach details etc. Any help would be much appreciated.

My iPad Mini (4) remains connected to 4G even when I am connected to PAW. Don't forget to set your SkyDemon to use the Internet when flying (or whatever the correct term is) in the settings page.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately even when I forced 4g to remain on my android phone nothing on my browser would load and I couldn't send any messages.

It seems to be device dependant.....my nexus 7(non mobile data) would not allow Bluetooth data while connected to pa via WiFi, but my iPad(non mobile data) does..
So sd on iPad, WiFi to pa, Bluetooth data from android hot spot
