Release notes for latest version.
« on: September 03, 2020, 09:22:04 pm »
I’ve updated to the latest release, but I only discovered it was available through word of mouth.

Apart from the new METAR page, I have no idea of the other enhancements and improvements, and can’t find anything on the website.

Where can I see such release notes, please?

The reason there has been no official launch, is that the documentation is still under review
Thx

So the new version is out?

I see it is on the Lode page, but I haven't had an email nor on Facebook? Is it ready for general use?

If you are a confident early adopter - go ahead
Otherwise await the official notification and documentation

Thx

Working in software, just wondering if you've got it the wrong way round. Wouldn't it be better to have everything in place, then make the update available?

In an ideal world, but as mentioned I have been contacted by lots of early adopters wanting access to the software, hence the tentative release, with a full announcement to follow shortly

Thx

I'm using the beta, should I upgrade? Is there any difference? (I've bought 3 64 Gb cards [super fast ones], just to be ready, Android user)
I know, upgrade, not sure why I asked. - Thanks guys, awesome kit

I had that problem, and resolved it by deleting the app and reinstalling it.

Hi Guys,

Presumably that fixed it Graham.

Anyone else reading this - you need to already be running at least 20190621 to use the App. It can’t update from anything older. Anyone still on an older software version than 20190621 needs to do a full manual update.

Regards

Peter

Hi Roger
We think there is a caching issue in the app, workaround right now is to delete and reinstall
Thx

I don't use iStuff so upgrade using the 'fresh formatted SDCard, full reinstall' method. Just take note of the settings (I do screenshots) before changing the card over and reapply settings. Quite straightforward.

Just to provide another report.

A friend uses iOS and was on 20190621.

He freshly loaded the app onto iOS and it stopped at 23% and said "Update failed".

He tried everything after that except delete and reinstall.

I told him to do this and then the update completed successfully.

He is very happy and very impressed with the new METAR.
