pilot ware seeing own flarm through OGN

While flying with rosetta operating in range of OGN I have a constant report of a contact 100m feet above, if I unplug my standard flarm the contact disappears. Help!

You are using a different ID Code for the two devices
Use the same code will solve your issue
Thx

Thanks for that Lee, but which the call sign and hexidec code are the same so does the 6 digit flarm code have to be entered in the rosetta set up.  Sorry if I'm being a bit slow, this is all new stuff to me.

cheers

I have my Hex code set in both FLARM and PilotAware.

Hi Lee and all;

We are having a similar issue on a classic PAW.

Please could you kindly help us with further detail of instructions on what to change, where, and how?

Our FLARM setup is a FLARM mouse - do we need to change the code on that itself separately and if so how?

Thank you

Hi Guys,

You need to change the configuration file in your flarmMouse, using the Flarm Configuration tool available from the flarm.com website. It's a bit complicated but there are instructions available on the Flarm and LXNav websites.

Basically you need to connect your flarm Mouse to your PC or laptop, or better still, remove the microSD card and put it in a PC or laptop, then change the ICAO aircraft address setting in the 'Device Settings / Advanced / Device ID for Radio Communication' section of the configuration tool to the correct ‘Hex ID’ for your aircraft - which should also be set in 'Configure' in your PilotAware.

Any problems come back to me.

Regards

Peter

Hi again;

We still haven’t had the chance to flight test to confirm whether FLARM configuration has solved this issue.

In the meantime though, can the experts please draw any conclusions from the diagnostics, particularly given some of the messages apparent - are they a concern, or normal behaviour?

Thanks again for the excellent support
