Thanks for that update. As I said above somewhere, I have resorted to ‘hot glueing’ a mate’s power lead in place after a previous socket repair. I have the very unit on my desk as I type this - it was handed in as part of an ‘Upgrade to Rosetta’ deal and is soon to start a new life. I’m pleased to say that the ‘glued in’ power cable is still as operational as the day I fitted it.
For anyone else reading this, it isn’t a common problem - just something to be aware of....
