External Aerial and Easy VFR display
« on: March 28, 2019, 11:06:19 pm »
Fitted an external aerial today - full story and pictures here https://spark.adobe.com/page/uOYLxiidmmgUz/ but huge number of contacts showing up on PA - furthest away was 265km ! .. and that was with the plane still in the hanger.. the advantages of a whole Al fuselage as a ground plane I guess. I know we don't need to see planes that far away - I only really did it because it's neater!

Loving the Easy-VFR display of other aircraft too

Hi Russ,

Thanks for the excellent article on Permanently Installing your PilotAware Classic in your Foxbat - viewable via your web link from the 'Fixed Installation' Section of the Forum. It will be of great help to a lot of people - and not only Foxbat Owners.

The clear photos leave readers in no doubt as to exactly what you have done and how, and the links not only to suppliers of parts but also to specialist tools used is a clear bonus.

Thanks again for posting.

One minor glitch - the link to your EVFR photo above doesn't work on either my iPad or laptop, so you might like to check it.

Best Regards

Peter

Peter - changed the link here to link to the webpage and I think I've sorted the picture - thanks.
