EC DF18 reception

Hi,
     With things like SkyEcho coming on the market which only transmit DF18 in acordance with CAP 1391. Can anyone confirm if an aircraft is not transponder equipped, so no mode C, but has a SkyEcho transmitting DF18 only will it be visible on Pilotaware?

short answer yes, DF18 is simply the Extended Squitter for ModeS
