Just been looking at the OGN coverage map and see there is an OGN-R station at Chipping Airfield which is not that far from you.
Are you familiar with anyone there or could you make contact for some assistance as this would be much easier to sort out with someone who can see what is happening.

No problem Eric, only sorry I've not been more help.
Can't think why the 12345678 password will not let you in.
Only other thing I can think is there has been some corruption when you made the new SD card.
You could try reformatting and downloading the software again.

12345678
Then carriage return / enter

So after hitting enter, what happens?

Nothing happens.... Times out and goes to login.  I will try another raspberry pi later.

I think I'd be more inclined to try reformatting the SD card again first and see where that takes you.

Unfortunately i can't use the keyboard and monitor route on mine to get the same picture of events that you get as my setup is in the loft and I can't get connected to a monitor.

Did you try to gain access by using your browser by trying each of those IP addresses in turn that you discovered with the IP Finder.

I have been successful this time.  New raspberry pi, sd card seems to have done the trick.     Thanks a million for all you help.
The setting up process following the instructions was very straightforward.

Thanks yes looks like the problem existed from a while ago that is why Peter  sorted out the problem by re writing part of the files.
The 1090 sdr is connected with outside aerial fot the MLAT tests when required.
