PilotAware-OGN.update.sh now pulls down 360Radar
« on: January 19, 2019, 07:25:04 pm »
I am just in the process of reconfiguring CalneW to move it to Lydeway and thought it maybe best to do an update first. I did this and it pulled down 360Radar too, which I guess will need a SDR + aerial for 1090 reception?

Questions:
How much data will it upload over the mobile internet connection i'll be using at Lydeway?
Can I disable the startup script for 360radar with no affect to OGN & Pilotaware?
Or do I need to go back to the version I'm running on CalneW?

Lastly any details on it?

Hi Vince,

I run the OGN-R station at Bath and have been using the MLAT version for about a month. Tony gave me your mobile the other day - I will call tomorrow and give you a set of data. 3D-SMode works extremely well!

If you do not connect a second SDR, then no MLAT upload occurs

MLAT download does occur for traffic within a 50km radius

Thx

OK went back to the version I was running on CalneW for Lydeway, which is now installed and running at the airfield.
