3D Audio - A Project for Winter nights!

Spotted this on the Web. 3D Audio will allow Pilots to hear Alerts coming from the direction of the Threat. Perfect for PAW!

Great idea, but I am yet to hear 3D Audio in a headphone, that lives up to the claim. Mostly it is binaural with the brain tricked into thinking some thing is in front or behind by the fact you can see the noise source or not. The Warthog must be getting something more that just a headset to be accurate to 15 degrees, and it will be head tracking as well (some already are)

In theory, not that tricky  from a pure left / right point of view.

Front to back adds extra layers of complexity that the Pi may well object to !!
