online / offline mode

Does anyone know what difference it makes to run I offline mode ?
I was continuously receiving popup connection error message until I switched to run in offline !
Also does anybody know what is the optimum baud rate for both iPad and Android ?

 Using Skydemon and receiving "there was an error trying to communicate with Skydemon  server " message !

What version of PilotAware are you running?
This issue was fixed in 20170721, pilotaware does not advertise itself as a router, hence SD, does not attempt to access the internet

Sky Demon doesn't try and contact its server over the internet in Offline mode.

I was continuously receiving popup connection error message until I switched to run in offline !

When Sky Demon is connected to the PAW, it can't connect to the internet.

If you use the setting in Sky Demon to only contact the servers on the ground, you should only get the message until you get over a ground speed of 30 knots (?) or so, then Sky Demon shouldn't try and contact its server any more.

Baud rate? But you're connecting over Wifi and not RS232?
