Are you sure G-AOEI is equipped with a S trasponder without position reporting?

Somebody is scared because think that the position calculated with multilateration can be less accurate as needed. How accurate has to be, to be considered safe enough? Compare your aspiration with the accurancy of a SSR radar used by ATC to separate IFR traffic. https://www.icao.int/SAM/Documents/2010/SURAUTOSEM/25_ICAO_RadarPerformance.pdf
After that, considering MLAT of PAW an auxiliary support for the VFR pilot,  if its accuracy don't meet your request, do you really prefer to have nothing instead that something? Strange behaviour.

really interesting! The tests consist to assign a C answer to an unique A answer with the same signal strenght, and use MLAT to determine horizontal position (as for S trasponder)?

Nice idea but unfortunately there's no easy way to get the signal strength from the receiver for a Mode A/C reply
Understood. So you can multilatering the horizontal position of an A unique squawk code, but without vertical position. Or you have a different way to combine A answers with C answer... I'm getting curious...  ;D

How!?!? Is it Really possibile with a omnidirectional aerial?

Yes, very early tests suggest that it would be possible in time for some aircraft as long as they use unique squawk codes.

But what about those aircraft that are only Mode A or Mode C ... well, we're working on tracking those too ;-)

Not 192.168.1.1.
But 192.168.1.1

OGN-R PilotAware / Re: Plug and play OGN-R transceivers

Hi,
here in Italy many airfield seems interested to istall an OGN-R station.
A ready-built kit is a clever idea and the TRIDENT seems to answer the question "what I need to build the station?"

What is in the box? Do I really need just an antenna pole, a power socket and a internet connection to build a fully functional OGN-R station?

Hi
this can be useful to understand why it is not possible to associate a C code with an A code.

Hi all
verbal traffic warnings are available only in english, i suppose. They are very basic but for foreigners not used to hear english, they need a effort to be fully understood
Are the Pilotaware team planning to set verbal traffic warnings available in other languages? What do you need to do that?

Ok, I'm a new pilotavare user so Please be patient with me.  :) i was just wondering if it would be any visual Aid To catch the pilot attention to the web radar screen when a traffic aproach.

In the meantime I decided to get Skydemon, so I don't need to use the web radar anymore  :) :)

Edit: i've seen the "enanchment request" thread! Sorry!

Regarding the web radar, I was wondering if is it possible to have, in addition to the left corner tab,  a background color changing from black to dark green, dark yellow, dark red), or a circle bold line changing in color, as you can see on skydemon. I suppose it will be more noticeable by peripheral vision, so the pilot don't need  to be involved in continuos monitoring of the screen.

Hi Mariko,
If I understand you correctly, then what you are asking, is the way it works today
The banner in the top left corner will change from Green -> Yellow -> Red as the threat increases, the same as the colored rings in SkyDemon

Does this make sense ?

Thx
Lee
Oh yes, but I would like to see changing the color of the entire screen of the web radar, or better, the inner circle background.
(by the way... the corner is on the right  ;D )
I will try to make a scratch tonight....

I'm sorry for my bad english.
You can see what I mean here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUaxbGnfZX0

at 5:40 In skydemon the circle around the aircraft symbol change in color when a bearingless traffics approach
at 8:30 In the web radar you have a tab on the top left corner when a bearingless traffics approach

General Discussion / Web radar circle background color
« on: February 19, 2019, 01:40:59 pm »
Hi,
I'm wondering if is it possible to have an automatic change  of the web radar background colour of the inner circle in green, orange, red as displayed for the C/S bearingless traffic when it is in range.
Or if is it possible to have the circle lines flashing in different colors as a bearingless traffic is approaching.

General Discussion / Re: Air Navigation Pro bearingless traffic.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I googled for easyVFR basic, unfortunately I discovered it is just for UK and NL airspaces :-[

I think you need to ask AirNavPro again, I just tried this and it does not display bearingless traffic
I don't think they understand the question.

This works fine in SkyDemon and EasyVFR - the same data is supplied to AirNavPro

AirNavPro does not even have an option to enable/disable display of bearingless traffic

Thx
Lee

After 2 and half years, nothing appears different: I did not find any solution to display bearingless traffic (C,S)  on ANP. In the sensors menu it does not show  "Pilotaware" as a traffic detection device; I have to select FL*RM and I can see just the ADS-B traffics on the moving map.
Are you again  in contact with the developing team of Xample? Are them working to a better support for Pilotaware traffic informations or is time for me to buy a copy of Skydemon?
