MI02 is connected via LAN port with a range extender. The range extender is connected to the main router via Wi-Fi. I spent about 18€

Technical Support / Re: No connection in Skydemon
« on: March 07, 2020, 07:21:34 am »
I'm getting the same issue using a Rasberry Pi with Pilot aware downloaded version 20190621. If I try to connect using the Pilotaware option, I simply get the message "Connecting to Device". However, if I switch the Pilotaware settings to Flarm (TCP) and then connect using the Flarm option in Skydemon then it connects fine.
do you get bearingless traffic advices when using Flarm option in skydemon?

Technical Support / Re: Which USB Port for RS 232 Cable?

I suppose the bottom right dongle is the 1090 receiver.
Maybe you can use a cable like this to solve every problem

I'm also interested. I can have a cheap "4G" connection (24/24 7/7), with non data limits, but with a 128kbs speed limit.

PWMI02 and PWmi02 were online for a couple of hours just for some tests and configurations (and, obviously, mistakes ::) ). Indeed, it is the same harware in the same location, that is not the final place where te station will be. The reported position is actually uncorrect and refer to the efinitive istallation. In the next days I will proceed to make other tests. Do I have to set a different name and set the actual location?

I suppose these are mainly OGN (FLARM) stations

Technical Support / Re: GPS drop outs since Rosetta upgrade
« on: November 12, 2019, 04:45:21 pm »
Hello all

FYI:  I recently upgraded to Rosetta... I had no dropouts from the classic unit and test flew the Rosetta on Sunday, I got several dropouts when doing any slightly aggressive manoeuvres while practicing my display routine.

Same position with good power supply.

Maybe you can try to use an external USB GPS receiver, placed in a position where it will be better exposed to the sky.

PilotAware->Configure->Flight-ID : (default value = UNDEF)

this should be updated using your tail reg or flight ID

thx
Lee
So, if i see an #UNDEF#, it means it is a Rosetta and not a ADS-B?

And what kind of positional traffic shows the tag #UNDEF# ?

General Discussion / Re: External GPS

I don't think a BT GPS is a good solution. It needs its own power source (cable and adapter) and needs to be started everytime you have to use it.

Question: Using a headset with microphone, commonly supplied with smartphones, maybe a good test to exclude any  Rosetta related problem?
If the howl disappear, power supply and Rosetta are ok and the problem is from the audio cable and beyond. If the problem persist, you have to investigate further your power supply and the Rosetta itself. Am I right?

Done!
My Tecnam P92 was not in the Microlight list; i choose "Ultralight" instead.
Thanks to all!
