Technical Support / Re: RTL-SDR Dongle & Antenna
« on: February 16, 2017, 08:01:40 pm »
Hi, This is what I did on my Flexwing.
Mounted the PAW unit underneath the instrument panel, remote mounted the GPS dongle on the bottom of the front strut.
Shortened the antenna to about 60mm and mounted to the side of the fron strut.
Seems to all work fine in that location.

This has a download for 3d printing a case which maybe suitable.

Hi Ian,

G-CIJO is my plane.
Were you flying last Monday, I routed from Sandy Bedfordshire to Gloucestershire Airport.
I was using my PAW to provide gps into my Funk transponder so would or should have ben ADSB.

I have to say that I'm really pleased with PAW.
On a flight yesterday I had on  one occasion 2 PAW contacts at the same time. I also had ADSB displays of planes within 2 miles at similar levels which I was still unable to see even though I knew where to look.  And my eyesight isnt that bad! :) Also many bearingless target rings on Skydemon.
I just need to get the audio sorted.

General Discussion / PAW at Top Farm Cambridgeshire.
« on: July 19, 2016, 05:24:59 pm »
On my way to Cambridge last night had a PAW contact on the ground with hash tags, shortly after these disappeared but hex code remained. Later returning to Sandy aircraft was flying, still no hash tags. Any reason? my group ID was PAWGRP but Flight ID FLYUK on the return I was running ADSB via the feed from PAW.
