Yes, they've only been able to do audio in the past year or two.

Headsets with no audio in wouldn't seem that useful  ;D

Top tips for the USB upgrade approach:

- Make sure your USB stick is formatted as FAT (which it will prob be if new) otherwise it won't work.
- Do not insert your USB stick into any USB port that you have configured in PAW config as (transponder) output - it will corrupt the whole memory stick.

Is there any update on this ? I can't see the settings on the latest version still for FLARM.
Real shame as one of our group likes to use Runway HD on Android.

General Discussion / Re: Radar3D - New Pilot Aware traffic display.

I love the Elite-style display - really makes the height differences stand out.

Feedback : Running it on my Asus tablet I can't edit the text fields in Settings (SSID etc). I get the keyboard but no cursor in the box. Seemed to connect to my PilotAware Wifi anyway as my SSID is "PilotAware-GSARV".

Great work guys - I updated our shareoplane yesterday.

I do find the TCAS symbology much easier to take it at a glance - hopefully other display providers will take heed and at least offer TCAS-style as an option.

Certainly better contrast but at the cost of looking at 2 screens, whereas the SkyDemon integration keeps one screen to look at. I'm hoping they will add more configurability to the traffic display at some point.

What I would like to see is an Elite-style 3D version of the radar display - no need then to read numbers to see if they're anywhere near the same level. Also maybe make the climb/descend indication a bit more obvious ( ? )

Just my 2p - great work so far  :)

No problem - also mention to NOT put it in a port configured for output (ie. transponder ADS-B OUT).
Ideally better to avoid it in s/w but at least a doc update is a short term 'fix'

Ethernet-plug-into-router-for-20-mins technique worked simply and easily  :)

I think it might be worth looking to see if it has a regular USB filesystem that will mount before blatting data to it.
I'm not entirely sure what I had on the stick - ho hum.

Guys - the USB method of upgrading trashed my whole (128Gb!) USB stick contents when it failed to upgrade (no idea why).
I think it might be wise to at least change the docs to say to use an EMPTY USB stick and / or ideally solve the USB update problems.

Great to see everyone in Telford and the new features - brilliant!

Anyone got any idea where to buy a FLARM mouse at a reasonable price ?
I can only find one place online selling them for £643 not £450.

Good job the GPS dongle can be removed as we've run out of USB ports (if you have ADS-OUT)  :)

I've also not managed to get the upgrade via USB to work - in the same way, from the previous software version. The last step doesn't work for me.

Worse than that - it appears to have trashed my USB stick (which had other things on it!) to the point of reformatting :-(

Just a thought:- This would also be an expensive way to get FLARM targets? I think a PF mouse is £450? OGN are allowed to decode the Flarm signal and display it on the internet cant we just decode and display without transmitting anything in the same way OGN do? I honestly cant see why Flarm would object as PAW will not have the capability required by a Glider?

Not sure I can see an answer to this. i.e. whether FLARM can be decoded (only decode, not encode) like OGN do ?
