On the iPhone 7 you can see what is 'armed' in Safari.

Settings
Safari
Advanced (Scroll to bottom of List)
Experimental Features
A list of WebKit Features are listed with 'switch' conditions.

Could that have changed in last update?

Where do we send them?
I've got 3 X RPi2 Model B. 2 should be fine but one PCB wired connections needs a check.
They are gratis.

Deleting the Firmware Updater does work. Install the Updater again and away it goes?

PilotAware has been in existence for over 6 years now and I have been a User from as soon as the first verison was available after implementation of Bridge.
Even the pre-Bridge version proved the concept albeit with very poor distance performance.
In the ensuing 6 years the PAW Team have busily improved its capability but always with an eye on what is accurate and truly feasible.
My point is simple....... PAW works and is based on experience through design and implementation with very open feedback.
This MLAT version is a step back if accuracy and resilience is measured.
Thanks for great explanation on this exciting new M-LAT opportunity.........NOT! >:(

Hi.
I'm struggling with this to understand where, what or how this problem is a problem.
Why do you need to shut the iPad down? The operational process would be to ensure PAW or SkyEcho on after checking you are connected to appropriate local device WiFi.
SkyDemon will report connection and all should be well. I tend to start 'Navigating' after start up to ensure all is connected.
If you then play with output device by shutting it down the process is very much interrupted.
I think a review of your process will ensure reliable access to whatever Navigation or Conspicuity device.
In short the iPad needs to stay live.
Hope you reach a logical conclusion to problem.

Technical Support / Re: TAF/METARs in Skydemon using ATOM
« on: June 07, 2021, 03:22:03 pm »
I'm old and cantankerous so my point of view may cause rancour.
After many years flying I've reached the far end and now fly an SSDR very happily.
I continue with SD, PAW and SE2 for ADS-B OUT and am very happy with the guidance and information I reliably receive. My journeys never greater than a 100 NM step.
Personally I cant see any use of TAF/METAR in real time whilst in flight. For Example, even on a longer flight of 300 miles undertaken in an aircraft fast enough to complete that distance it will only involve 3 hours change of weather within that flight. You wouldn't have set out if the prognosis to complete was in so much in doubt on the flight.
If your aircraft can easily fly these routes in more inclement weather then a Weather Radar Pod would probably be the best help.
My vote would be for keeping the reliable effectiveness of what we have. Both PAW and Sd add some good additional facilities based on the proven model in use.
Changing to maybe GDL or something else for a bit of weather data seems a poor decision.
Cantankerous Mode now switched off! Hope everyone is enjoying Summer flying at last.

Technical Support / Re: target on Sky Demon

John
On the basis that I have done too much gardening today and most probably have lost the plot have you tried this.
Although you can zoom up and down in Skydemon that function will not effect the size of targets.....I think....but.
iOS on iPhone allows you to zoom screen. That presents Skydemon back in larger format and should show larger target aircraft?
Or could be talking absolute crap so dont be kind.

Malcolm. Had the PAW Aerial fitted underside to aluminium bottom panel that extended backwards from firewall. It was 'vertical but upside down and it worked fine.
GPS Aerial had extended lead from PAW to dongle and was placed on the Instrument Panel coaming. ADS-B aerial was fitted on top forward aluminium panel and was shortened to about 10cm max. In the end it was about 7cm. Worked very well too. It was a rag and tube build with front section of aluminium panels.

PAW detects other PAW Users too, an added dimension. SE2 alone will give SkyDemon the GPS with Flarm (If subscribed) and ADS-B Traffic.
If I'm wrong please dont flame me. I'm old and frail and my only protection is a fully loaded AK47....... That could make me right on the matter!

I used PAW for everyything. SE2 was just enabled for Transmit. This means it is independent and doesn't need a connection to Navigation device.
Take a look at Configuration page.

Plenty on Amazon and eBay. Make sure they are 20 AWG.

I had your configuration on an Aircraft I recently sold. PAW for EC and SkyEcho 2 was ADS-B Out only. Worked fine and no problems with ID.

Rather than reading to your whinging at what is difficult time for all can you describe what you actually want in the way of an external aerial and for what aircraft and its placement.
I ask why? Because I have one that may well do for you from an aircraft I recently sold, FOC, just to clear this theme out of Forum!!!
PM me. I dont bite but can!

The plaintive cry of protest that a new OS software level cuts off newer Apps is the history of Computer technology.
Both 'camps' are as responsible as each other and its been that way since 1980 when early 8086 Processors were called PC's.
Apple in 1984 was proprietary too until it 'massaged' BSD Unix in the 90's. Its still very closed unless you obey their rules.
The Customer drives it on. Faster, better quality WiFi, 30 Megapixel Camera, VR it goes.
If you dont get drawn by it many legacy devices still work well.
I have a MacBook Pro from 2006 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Software and it has quite a lot of functionality of my modern iMac running 'Catalina' OS
The Android devices I have are Tablets running from: Android 4.4: Jelly Bean to Android 8.1: Android Oreo
Very few Android platforms allow upgrade of OS and especially if they are Chinese design in my experience.
The Industry has us tied up like a kipper! Its only saving grace is that prices in general are lower in respect to the prices we paid in 1980's.

Assessing the added value of a software upgrade that leaves you behind and staying where you are is all thats available.
Developers can only work within the SDK's provided.

Thats the end of my Sunday Sermon.....delivered virtually from my iMac Pulpit.
Bless You!
