It’s my consistent experience that the ‘Go’ button does nothing if the flight dates are visible. Once they are collapsed, data can be refreshed with ‘Go’.

Sounds to me more of a SkyDemon issue than a PAW issue, and -may- be related to a quirk with your version of tablet/Android.

I'd suggest calling the SD help-desk who may well have seen similar issues with others and be able point you in the right direction.

3
Are you trying this out airborne or while on the ground?

IIRC the SkyDemon traffic alert algorithm relies on you being airborne (and/or above a certain speed, I believe) so you don't get constant alerts while parked and taxying.

4
In that case start with the headset and work backwards. It could be something as simple as a dicky socket or the mini Jack plug not pushed in quite far enough.

Have you checked that traffic warnings are enabled on SD by toggling it on at:

Setup>Navigation Options>(Other Traffic)Verbal Traffic Information ?

Yes.

You haven’t got the traffic box ticked, only POI. :)

General Discussion / Re: Aircrew Traffic Display

For those of you who use the playback tool - you can now press Press the 'a' key on your keyboard and it will open up the Aircrew traffic display to see what it would be like to fly with Aircrew.
Is this feature still a thing, or is it platform dependent?

I've just tried on a Mac with both Safari and Firefox browsers and I didn't see an instrument pop-up.

It would be really useful to know what bugs have been addressed.

The 'over the air' update feature doesn't really interest me as the additional faff factor associated with iGrid is a step too far for me.

Thanks Peter. It’s reassuring to know someone hadn’t nicked my aircraft to do some moonlighting in it!

I looked at https://playback.pilotaware.com/playback/groundstations with your ICAO code but couldn't see anything...
That's interesting - using your link and a three hour window I found a target at 3am at altitude 3489ft near Telford!

Only picked up by PWCaradoc though, no other stations. What's really interesting is I flew exactly that track the following day (yesterday) early afternoon, at that altitude. It suggests to me that PWCaradoc has had a whoopsy.

Thanks Peter.

On another point, once I actually got in (it worked fine from that point) I noticed plots for a day when I didn’t fly.

The aircraft is my own, and I definitely didn’t fly that day, but there are ADSB and PAW plots at very short range in the 12 and 6 o’clock positions.

Can the location be determined from the database? There are a couple of possible explanations, neither of which would be down to me (I think!).

That you waited until the page fully loaded before trying to use it? It took a long time for me...
That’s the problem. After 10 minutes I got bored!

I can't seem to get Vector to work, whichever browser I use.

Is it just me?

Before you go to the trouble, just make sure that the Micro SD card is seated properly.

I had a couple of apparent intermittent power problems last week, which I traced to the SD card needing pulling out and reseating. Been fine so far since.

You weren't transiting Birmingham airspace today were you?

There are GPS jamming trials going on there this weekend.

(FWIW my Trig gets its position data from a GNS430W. If I switch that off, or it loses integrity, the Trig keeps working but you just get a message to say that the position source has been lost).
