Peter,
Thanks for looking in to this. Just for reference though I do know how to use the Vector analysis and do know that you have to press each time 'Go' !!!! >:(

As you say it now works perfectly and as it should do and did up until some weeks/months ago!
Something has changed or been repaired is my only conclusion because it certainly hasn't been working correctly recently and hasn't worked properly for quite some time.

In addition it now no longer shows Pilotaware contacts as I wouldn't expect it to seeing that i don't have Pilotaware!....It did previously.

If my query has prompted a repair then that is brilliant!
All is now good!

Thanks and bye for now,

Alan.

Hi Peter,

Pleased you are going to investigate further.
From my viewpoint something is not quite right with Vector currently. All I do is input my CAA Hex code that is emitted by my Trig transponder and the resultant vector plot displayed cannot possibly be correct for the reasons previously stated.

I would just though like to state, in case some think otherwise seeing as I have a competitor EC product in my aircraft, that I have no axe to grind on this. I am just merely reporting what I observe to you having previously used the Vector display successfully in the past

Cheers,

Alan

Thanks Peter for the thoughts..

Basically as far as I can see though Vector used to work properly and at least as far as my setup goes it now appears that it doesn't.Maybe that is just how it is...dunno!
As you can see from the Hex number I sent to you it shows the exactly same number of contacts for ADSB as Flarm which just can't possibly be correct regardless of the input type selected into the box. It also now shows Pilotaware contacts and I don't have Pilotaware! This is all something that has happened to Vector recently.
There is I think something that has been changed in Vector recently and the thought is just maybe it posssibly now it isn't working correctly for Pilotaware users either?

Never mind, thanks anyway. I will just have to go back to using the inbuilt Flarm Vector diagnostics in PowerFlarmFusion which is ok but has to be done when in the aircraft which is not so convenient.

Thanks anyway for your efforts,

Alan.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the reply and thoughts.
I will send you a pm with my Hex code if that is ok.
I have a Trig TT21 ES giving Mode S and ADSB 'out' and PowerFlarmFusion giving ADSB direct 'in' and PowerFlarm direct 'in' and 'out' also Mode S in.

Cheers,

Alan.

Hi,
You may wish to answer me on this or maybe not due to the fact I am not a Pilotaware user!
I have PowerFlarmFusion in my aircraft.
However I understood that I could avail myself of Vector because it was available to everyone and which I have, perhaps cheekily you may say, been doing since launch and up until a month or so ago I found it extremely useful for checking my flights and that all was working in my aircraft as it should do....I have found it simply brilliant!
However recently it doesn't seem to work properly?... Or maybe not as it used to. It now seems to be not quite right somehow!
Now, and it never used to do this, Vector display shows that I can now see Pilotaware aircraft even though i don't have Pilotaware and my Powerflarmfusion is picking up these aircraft contacts?
It also now,and it never used to, shows me to be seeing exactly the same number of contacts on ADSB per flight as it does on Flarm and also displays exactly the same Vector diagram regardless of putting ADSB or Flarm or even changing the input box to 'All'?

Thanks for the help,

Alan.

The majority of Mil training aircraft are now emitting Flarm also there are quite a number of private aircraft in addition to gliders also now emitting Flarm.

Hi Keith,
Thanks for the update re holdup, Customs etc. Now I know what the situation is I can work with that and will be ok to wait a while longer.

Thanks,

Alan.

Well, more than another week has gone by and despite reassurances that they would be available last week and on checking twice daily since there have never been separate External antennas available on the store website to purchase.
Will they ever be available or can a correct time frame ever be given I am begining to wonder?
Without this availability committing to Rosetta is not an option for me. :(

Thanks for the info Keith.

As soon as I see them the separate antennas available  I will place my order for a carry on Rosetta and the all the separate bits I need. :)

Alan,

I appreciate what you are saying, but remember if you buy the Rosetta+ pack, with the 50% off you aren’t paying any more for the full antenna / installation kit than you would be paying for a Rosetta and external antennas as separate purchases (as if purchased separately the antennas won’t qualify for the rebate). Your choice of course, but just saying - and there will always be a market out there for the bits you don’t need.

Regards

Peter

Well I now read on Flyer forum that someone has just managed to buy a replacement P3i Antenna from Pilotaware.
How come I wonder when I am told they aren't available except as a complete external installation kit?
I will wait a couple of weeks after that I will give up!

Thanks for the reply Peter.

I am just rather frustrated by this having finally made the decision to go with Rosetta!
I am certainly not going to pay £230 for a full external installation kit that I don't need when I all I need are £118 antennas. It sort of defeats the objective for me of the CAA rebate scheme doesn't it.

I had sort of realised I can use a simple TED Transponder antenna for ADSB but hadn't quite grasped that I could use a Flarm antenna for the P3i antenna so thank you for that.

Preliminary searches do though seem to indicate that a full Flarm antenna may be a bit expensive  so perhaps I need to do some thinking on what to do.

I want to Take advantage of the CAA rebate scheme andplace an order for a Rosetta. To set up initially temporarily and then going forward make into permanent installation in my aircraft.

Trouble is Keith tells me currently I can only buy the complete external antenna kit with Cables/Charger etc which I don't need. I have Charge2 fitted in my aircarft and the cables in the kit aren't long enough anyway and for temporarly use I wouldn't get the carry on antennas.

So my question is where can i obtain a suitable P3i external antenna similar to what the Pilotaware shop normally sells to either cut down or modify to the correct frequency?

I don't feel confident to place an order for this equipment until I can see a route forward. If that cannot be found I will reluctantly have to reconsider my options.

Ok Lee,

Thats good. I didn't know if for whatever reason that was possible. I suppose all will become clearer when my Rosetta arrives.

Thanks.

As someone who has not yet received delivery of my Rosetta it looks like no-one wants to reply to my question it seems, so I guess the answer is there is no way currently of completely turning off audio in Rosetta?....Disappointing on both counts! :(

I have yet to take delivery(hopefully this week I understand) of Rosetta so please excuse the probably basic questions:-

1/ Can audio be turned off completely within Rosetta?

2/ If I hardwire into Dynon Skyview can I have visual data input from Rosetta into Skyview without audio?

I do not wish to have constant audio messages in my ear when on final approach!
