Just started using a new tablet with a classic PAW, it won't let me look at the config page via the URL has anyone any idea what settings are needed on the tab to allow access, I get a DNS error. otherwise it all works fine. Thanks.

Thanks I’ll give it another go, I’ll try my phone as well, haven’t had any problems with my android device which is what I use in anger, been carrying my iPad as a back because SkyDemon have had a couple of connection issues on older android devices (now sorted) so turns out the iPad wouldn’t have helped me in panic mode

Like I say it’s now all working again, no idea when it stopped really, only noticed when we started flying again after lockdown, looking at the config pages one of the usb status indications was in yellow, it’s now green.

Thought so, it wouldn’t go that address or any other as it hadn’t got a Wi-fi signal although it was connected in the settings. ?

It’s a component used in the original Paw Classic used to receive ADSB signals at The top end of the UHF band, nothing new, been running this since its inception as I was one of the Beta testers.

Another question will the PAW support two devices connected on Wi-fi, asI have been trying to connect an I pad this afternoon along with an android tablet, the iPad says it’s connected but I don’t get the Wi-fi icon on the screen and get a no connection error, reason for doing this is I wanted some screen shots for the BMAA transponder mod. Cheers Nick, pi 3 with on board Wi-fi and bt.

Technical Support / Network password
« on: October 10, 2020, 09:48:02 am »
Hi any way to change this, tried yesterday when I did the latest update but wouldn’t have it, currently have quiet a long password in the system, the other week due to a wrong switch flick by me whilst flying I lost the network connection and I couldn’t get the paw back on line without entering the network password on my tablet, I failed to do this until I was back on the ground got me thinking maybe I should have something a little simpler. Are there a minimum number of characters if so that was possibly the issue. Thanks in advance. Nick

Yes, thats what happened last night, a mate watched me both paw and FR, the issue was no record on FR after the event, my mate was supprised when I spoke to him today about the need to register as he never did, so someone must have added the aircraft no doubt a spotter.

Thanks again

Nick.

Thanks for your replies, no problem with the data getting to the trig unit ADSB data is displayed both paw and trig running at 9600, I’ll try the link for FR and see what they say.

Anyone any ideas please, I have the transponder working with a gps signal from the PAW, I believe the aircraft is showing up on FR live or so I have been told but if I search for my aircraft it is not found on FR is there anything I should have done regarding a setting somewhere ? I have also been told that the symbol which was associated with my aircraft corresponded to something looking like a 737 but listed as private aircraft no photo as it’s not been spotted. Does anyone have a list of definitive settings for both Trig and PAW currently I have the Trig set at 9600 baud NMEA, uncertified, 1090 receiver, no. Thanks in advance. Nick

Thanks Peter that’s the info I was looking for re the port numbering but failed to find it. It’s all working now although I have the baud rate at 4800 , might up that at a later date.
Cheers, Nick

If anyone can help please, getting the no position error on a Trig TT21, rs232 dongle in the lower left port, port configured trig 4800 baud, black wire pin 4 orange pin 5, the rs232 dongle flashes when you switch the paw on but that’s it, Trig set to NMEA 4800 and D, getting a gps fix ok gps dongle flashing green. PAW functions ok, Classic PAW BUILT ON Pi3. Thanks in advance.

Noticed the rs232 dongle flashes whilst the Pi is booting up.

Cheers folks, sorted it wrong port number, although I had tried different combinations
