Technical Support / picking up own aircraft transponder

Hello, testing a friends unit in the air this evening, we were picking our own mode c/s transponder signal through pilotaware ( confirmed by cycling the transponder on and off)
it alternated between a yellow and green ring.

Anyone else had this?, is seperation between the PilotAware and transponder antennae important?, they are close (about 3 inhes in this installation)

Tommorrow-Saturday 29th, I will be going to Firs Farm (west Berkshire), dept Abergavenny at 10:00 bst

Anyone else out and about, would be handy if you could mention where/when and we can all keep an eye out for each other and test our units

Tried out the PilotAware this evening on journey to Long Marston, nice to meet Dominic and Lee there, who both reported tracking me inbound from me from devizes (I believe Lee has some screenshots)

Here are some screenshots I took on  departure leg from LM.
