Technical Support / PAW Crash after takeoff
« on: May 01, 2022, 10:49:37 am »
PAW rosetta connecting to Skydemon on Android.

Yesterday in the climb out, Skydemon reported waiting for device, it was previously fine in the take off run. After stabilising the plane, I switched to chrome to view the status of the PAW, but the website was unresponsive. Android confirmed I was still connected to the PAW WIFI, and I could see lights in the device, although not which ones. Eventually I recycled the power to the PAW, which stopped Skydemon navigation completely. Once PAW restored, I restarted Skydemon and everything was OK for the rest of the flight.

Technical Support / No METAR/TAF
« on: July 19, 2021, 08:35:55 pm »
So today I flew from Rochester to Goodwood via Mayfield and back, and every time I looked at the METAR page it was blank (just the headings).  I'm also unconvinced that I'm getting any of the MODE-S/3D functionality, so I'm probably doing something wrong.

I've checked the config screen and the "Mode-S/3D Select" is enabled, so what else could I be doing wrong please?

Thanks
David.

Technical Support / Wifi restart on profile change
« on: July 08, 2020, 01:50:29 pm »
Hi engineering team,

A minor annoyance, but is it possible to not restart the Wifi connection when selecting a new profile in the PAW UI?  I use a number of aircraft and I have been known to take-off with the wrong profile loaded for the aircraft in use, and switching it over seems to reset the wifi connection on the PAW, causing the laptop to disconnect and Skydemon getting very upset with me.

Thanks
Dave

Technical Support / Power Warnings
« on: July 03, 2020, 08:44:18 am »
Hi, I've just fired up my PAW for the first time since October 2019 in anticipation of flying this weekend, but am getting Warnings and the odd Error on the Power/Throttle line on the front page.

I've drained and recharged the year-old Anker PowerCore 10000 overnight, but am still seeing these errors this morning.  I'm using the PAW supplied power lead.

Could the lead degrade this fast?  There are no kinks or twists in the cable and it's been stored loosely coiled in the box.

Thanks
Dave
