I thought I would share some interesting stats from a very busy weekend
on 11/7/2020, we had a number of stations which were tracking and rebroadcasting in excess of 200 aircraft each, simultaneously
This means that in order to calculate whether to rebroadcast the Mode-S/3D and FLARM reports to PilotAware aircraft, each station was performing more than 40,000 (200 x 200) calculations per second to determine what to uplink. That is staggering!

In total on that day we saw a total of 3556 across the network

The GRID is working very well, we expect to get the new PilotAware S/W released within a couple of weeks, and you will be able to install via the PilotAware App - credits Neil Hathaway (ios only at the moment)

The GRID (Ground Relay Infrastructure Domain) network of ATOM (Air Traffic Management and Observation) has now been fully rolled out across Europe. This is what this means for PilotAware Users.

OGN-R PilotAware / Updating from Release 20191008

Some stations are stuck on release 20191008, in order to fix this issue and perform a full reinstall of the latest release, please run the following command after logging into your OGNR station

$ curl -s https://pilotaware.lode.co.uk/ogn_install.sh | bash

This will take around 20-30 Minutes to complete, afterwards, please log in and run the configure script
$ cd rtlsdr-ogn
$ ./PilotAware-OGN.config.sh

Your previous settings will remain unchanged, but please pay special attention to
- Entering an email address

To ensure good security, always change the default pi password from the initial setting of 12345678

Technical Support / Android battery saver option - causes wifi disconnect

Hi All

Had a few reports on android devices not maintaining a connection
This has also been reported on Stratux forums, apparently due to enabling
Battery Saver Option

My android device is pretty old and does not have this option
Can any android users confirm this is correct information
