Technical Support / Re: Audio Testing

Great thread about the audio output from PAW. I fly a single seat aircraft so no intercom. I have had to use a slightly different setup than most. The amp and PAW are behind my seat so I was hoping to fine adjust the volume on my ipad, having set it max in the amp. All seems to be fine, just waiting for the volume fix, mine is permanently on 10. Attached diag of my setup.

I thought the PilotAware Classic came with a monopole, but it seems it comes with a Dipole. So mounting that inside the fuselage well away from my comms aerial should be fine.

Many thanks for the advice, keep up the good work.

PS, I guess flying into the Rally this year might show my iPad mini screen being a bit cluttered.

Many thanks both. Wondering if Mode S has over taken Mode C yet in usage.

I have a wood and fabric single seat Bi-plane. I was going to fit the RTL-SDR aerial inside the fuselage. I have a 8" aluminium disc which has my comms aerial on, mounted on the bottom surface of the fuselage, do you think I could mount the Pilotaware aerial a couple of inches from my comms aerial. This would save me fitting another metal plate.

Thanks for any observations.

I have not purchased anything yet, but I am about to purchase the Pilotaware Classic.
Will Runway HD display Mode C transponders in a similar way to Mode S. I realise it will not have the same accuracy.
