Hi Peter/Peter :-)
Pilot aware and SD now work together (it showed up that the gps dongle didnt quite make the connection in the usb port. there is radar on SD. However my Ipad still reports no internet connection abt 5 secs after i have connected to SD's wifi. Sd still shows as connected ???

Sorry this is a multipla of problems suddenly occuring, the 1090 indicator alternates betw green and yellow, the pi is permanently green, barometer is red and gps orange, the unit has been standing outside in 3/8 overvast for 30 mins no connection. The pics has been taken indore hence no targets on the gps.
I have taken apart the unit, taken of the bridge and reattached it. Its not power as u can see from the screenshots. What do i do next ?

Hi from Denmark
We will begin testing with weather radar directly to i.e skydemon.

Noo electric already supply the dongle for the 10xx mhz

Can i add a noo electric dongle recieving 978mhz to the pilotaware, and will it work ?, alternativly substitute the 10xx dongle with the 978 to recieve weather ?

Pleased to hear

All the best from Denmark

Hi Lee

Thanks for your answer,
this of cause is one way of selling the bridge, but unemployed at the moment i unfortunately have to be picky what i spend my money on, and the bridge = 1 hour of actual flying time.

for testing purposes is it possible to go back to a previous software version where mode c/s is visible ?
by the way, how may pilot aware units are sold to denmark ?

pleased to hear
best regards
Peter

Hi Lee
Thanks, can the mode c/s be activated by installing a USB pressure sensor ?, and if yes can you suggest a model?
Thanks for your very prompt answers, impressing !

Aha, that is correct, does the bridge need to be in place to monitor mode c/s , or does the presserende just need to be corrected ?

Gents,
If we estimate that the glider is doing 100 Kt, and there is a max detect time of 20 secs, that give approx 500 yards warning. If anything is that close I want to know, and in that instance all I need is a forced blink on the screen, saying warning. Position in that proximity will be cleared by a mk 1  eyeball, if he is not left or right he is behind me and as I know glider pilots normally look up through the canope I'll assume he is above me and decend asafp 😄

Hi Jim
from what i could read the flarm signal is so week that if Pilot aware pics it up it will be within 20 secs, so it will be a heads up, full look around, and hopefully see the glider going away from you :-)

you don't need to see the altitude or exact location (i my opinion that is) ;)

Ian, question if i may, even though the flarm transmittal is encoded in a propritary fashion it does not mean that the transmittal can not be detected, would it not be possible to register the transmittal, and display a warning that a transmittal was detected but without name and range ?, This Way at least we would be prewarned that something was out there !
