General Discussion / Re: Wi-Fi connection / freeze issue

Lee,
Thank you! All works fine now.

Tested with FlightRadar:

But.. still a few questions :)

1. Should we enter QNH every time at departure, in the web interface?
2. Why in the web interface, in the "Pressure Altitude (BMP)" it says "Failed"?
3. How much power does it draws from my portable battery? It's 15.000 mAh but I do charge my Ipad (navigation) and sometimes the GoPro at the same time.
4. How do I safely stop the device? Is there a risk to corrupt files on the microSD card if I just yank the power off?

Do you need help putting together a software installation/configuration manual? I had to really scratch my head here and there, in the end it works but it would make a user's life so much easier if there were a guide. Which could include what to do in case of errors like I received (would make your life easier, not having to answer all silly questions all the time)

Turns out, cable was good but the AC adapter probably didn't provided enough power.

Now with a powerbank (2.1A output) it works just fine.

Next issue is with CollisionAware: when connected, it doesn't display any configuration boxes. It just connects!

But the good thing is, SkyDemon works displaying other AC.

Yes it's when CollisionAware starts connecting.

It might be a power problem; I'll try with a power bank.

Hello,

I believe I have an issue with my system, can anybody help?

Current configuration (parts):
Raspberry Pi Model B+ 512 MB Mainboard with 8GB MicroSD (Maplin - Code: N53DV)
ARF - High power radio transceiver
XBee/Pro Breakout Board 3.3V to 5V MCU Pitch 0.1" DIP Adapter w 3 LED Indicator
USB DVB-T+DAB+FM HDTV TV Tuner Receiver Stick RTL2832U+R820T2 Tuner Receiver S3 USB DVB-T+DAB+FM HDTV TV Tuner Receiver Stick RTL2832U+R820T2 Tuner Receiver S3
Ralink RT5370 150Mbps USB 2.0 WiFi Wireless Network Networking Card 802.11 b/g/n

Same behaviour happens with the latest release (PilotAware.20150926) and with the one before:

After booting up, it ends up in this state:

Using my PC, I can find the access point, I can connect and see the HTTP page at http://192.168.1.1

But whenever I connect using my Iphone 6 or Ipad, the Rasbperry Pi log flickers and sometimes the images gets garbled (some coloured blocks or lines).
The WIFI connection drops out

I could not get pass this stage even after updating to the latest hardware.

Any ideas? It is the Raspberry Pi or the Wifi dongle?

Thanks
