Technical Support / Re: Cant download new version

Yup, all sorted now. I'm not sure what the problem with the ethernet is - The only thing I can think of is we use an Air Port as a router which puts out two WIFI networks and it didn't like it for some reason. Using the memory card failed at first; the key - seemingly - is to make sure the memory card is formatted for FAT32. I was initially getting the same error message as it was formatted exFAT (128gb card out of the ship's GoPro as it was all I had lying around), but making sure the card was formatted FAT32 fixed it and the USB update performed as advertised.

I'm having this problem too. Tried using an SD card and through wiring it to my router, very bizarre. Error message states:

Checking for Updates
/root/servers/check.sh: Error, Cannot access update details

Then defaults back to the config screen.

General Discussion / DR400 - or, fitting to a certified aircraft
« on: February 06, 2017, 02:13:28 pm »
We've decided in principal to go down the route of having FLARM and PilotAware fitted on a more permanant basis to our shared Robin DR400. Mounting the unit isn't an issue as there's space out of the way behind the panel, the issue we are coming up against is the positioning of the aerials.

I've seen a very smart solution which has all three aerials secured to the canopy via a metal plate - the issue with this for us is the canopy slides forwards, so needs a good extra meter of cable & is just going to get messy.

It's a certified aircraft so we can't go drilling holes ad infinitum and sticking stuff wherever convenient, which is a pain. Anything fitted needs to be "removable..."

We could put the whole lot in the rear of the aircraft on the parcel shelf...but no power there.

Any suggestions from those that have done it?

OK, the new release has helped matters a little. It runs through the boot OK and recognises all the devices plugged in, however the last few lines of code are:

Error: Unnsported Platform is this a PiB+?
Expected ARMv6-compatible, got HW=ARMv7
ARMv7
ARMv7
ARMv7

Raspbian GNU/Linux 7 pilot3i-rpi tty1

pilot3i-rpi login:

Further digging would tend to suggest I have a Raspberry Pi 2B+ or somesuch...guess it's not compatible?

This was only with the Wireless chip and a TV Tuner installed.

Could be a dead TV tuner?

OK, I updated to the latest software release - it now gets that far but then goes to "SER-TRX Configuration Failed after 6 goes at 9600 Baud and 11 goes at 57600 Baud"...

Any ideas?

Hi Lee

No hotspot appearing

It did do - once - but I have been unable to provoke another one since

Think it was on Amazon, will dig out and revert but I have had it working in a different version of Linux - I'll try it on my laptop tomorrow

Can't remember which slot, is it specific?

It does give up but then the boot process hangs, I've left it for 10min and nothing happened

Screenshot follows shortly...

I have an issue on boot whereby it appears to go OK, decides it can find a RT5730 Wireless adapter then goes through a script where repeated communication with "SER-ARF" is attempted. I did have an ARF Chip installed but took it off as my soldering was crap, and now it won't generate a wireless hotspot.

Using the latest release as well.
