Hi All,
Was hoping to get some sort of answer to this question so I understand the system and benefits a little better. I had previously installed a "Air Avionics" traffic display to declutter my small nav screen (tablet), which is to be powered through my RS232 port of the DX. I am trying to weigh up the benefits of also providing a signal from the FX unit to the Trig Mode S transponder as well, but in order to provide both devices with info from the FX unit, I will need to fit a splitter.
I am trying to understand the benefits to me and other users by fitting a GPS signal to the Trig, which I guess will give other Transponder users only a bit more info (there probably isnt that many out there these days?).
So I can weigh up the pros and cons and understand the overall systems better (as I only have a very basic understanding), I am trying to decide if its worth investing in even more hardware and its complexity, or simply forget about feeding a GPS input into the Trig.
