Technical Support / Re: Netgear 4 G mobile router **Solved**
« on: January 22, 2025, 10:35:20 pm »
Thanks to Ashley, the Igrid problem has now been solved. It appears that Igrid is now tied up with the licence and paw serial number, a little while ago a new Pi was fitted to the paw due to power problems and this had not been updated with the office servers. Thanks for everyone’s help.

Peter,
Just to add to the confusion! I run a few paw’s on different aircraft and looked at another one today, using the same router I got the following picture which is I believe is correct, I have taken the sd card out to swap to see if that is the problem. But chatting to Ashley he does not think so.
So will keep trying!
Cheers Neil

Many thanks PaulSS.
Using 192.168.8.1 and changing the range for the DHCP to a similar number cured the problem. Slight issue is that I can not get the GSM on the radar screen to change from orange to green? On the IP line in the home page the wlan1 and I grid have a green boarder but the igrid has igrid-zt=UNKNOWN showing?
On one of the pictures on the forum it has numbers in here? is this normal or still a possible issue?

Technical Support / Netgear 4 G mobile router **Solved**
« on: January 15, 2025, 11:28:39 am »
Hi,
I recently purchased a Netgear Wi-Fi 4 g router to use in the various aircraft I fly rather than my I phone. I have a problem that the Rosetta works fine with the I phone and get a nice green indication on the radar screen.
When I switch the Netgear router on, it sometimes allows me to join it as a Wi-Fi hotspot but soon as it connects it jams everything up. It then does not let me go to network page home page or anything else? If I switch the router off everything works again fine.
The router does show as paw connected.
The router works well with everything apart from the Wi-Fi on the paw, I have tried all settings even taken off security with no effect.
The only thing I can think of is that the isp is 192.168.1.1 for both?
Any ideas please?
Cheers. NATO

Just tried it again this morning, the metar’s page has locked out, reboot required to get it working.

I very rarely get aircraft showing on the status page and on the 360 radar page, I thought that was due to lack of other ATOM stations in the area, my radar 360 screen always looks quit blank compared to my FR24 screen.

Gent's

You are correct, I have removed the timer, after a post on the forum suggested it was no longer required.......
A manual reboot did correct all the faults that Alan has posted, my station had all those problems first thing this morning.

Neil

OGN-R PilotAware / OGN Station update ?
« on: June 27, 2020, 11:37:25 am »
Hello all,

Was there an update last night ? My OGN station appears not to come up on the home page this morning, the radar 360 was working, but that now appears to have stopped as wee I have logged in and the Raspberry pie and it is working, what is the code to check the software version installed on the pi ?
Problem solved .......
There was an update last night....I did a hard reboot on the Pi and it is all now working as normal ? ( I have not had to do that before for an auto-update)

Neil

Technical Support / Re: Bose A20 Bluetooth
« on: June 10, 2020, 08:02:16 pm »
Hi Alan,
As you say, when the Paw is first switched on I did not know there were so many BT devices active around the aircraft, shame it does not find the Bose ! Just have to remember to switch on the headset before the Paw !

Neil

OGN-R PilotAware / Re: OGN Station showing as aircraft on radar

Thanks Alan,
I looked at my laptop screen rather than the Mini I pad I use SD on, you are correct hiding under the white aircraft was a faint yellow mast, so I drove down the road approx 1 km and this split the image.
Shame SD don’t show a mast as I thought there was another plane flying over my house  :D

Technical Support / Bose A20 Bluetooth
« on: June 10, 2020, 11:42:25 am »
Hi,
Went flying yesterday and noticed that after the PilotAware is powered up and you try to connect to Bluetooth after going to the config page, open up the Bluetooth button, start scanning it fails to show up the Bose headset, I tried scanning 3-4 times but still not showing.
Rebooted the PilotAware with the Bose A20 switched on and it showed and connected straight away, tried this both ways a couple of times and the only way for the PilotAware to find the headset is to reboot.
It appears that the scan button does not re-scan for new devices but only shows the ones it found at initial startup ?
Ant thoughts ?

OGN-R PilotAware / OGN Station showing as aircraft on radar
« on: June 10, 2020, 11:27:02 am »
Hi,
I went for a flight over my house which has an OGN station based there and noticed it was shown as an aircraft on SD, when I got home I looked at the radar screen on PilotAware and it also shows as an aircraft, on page 22 of the PilotAware  guide it shows an aerial mast at the ground station.
Is this an incorrect setting in the OGN ground station or do they now show up as aircraft not masts ?
