I think I’ve solved it. The HEXID has changed! Not sure how that could have happened unless I was entering licence key in the wrong place!

Hello. I updated my licence key on 4th May. Ever since then , I’m not seeing any groundstations - according to Vector. Here is screenshot that seems to show everything as green. Any thoughts? Hex ID is 4058EA if you want to check.

It’s a flexWing microlight. Rosetta is in the nose of the pod with antenna pointing down. Phone was in the top pocket of my flying suit.

Hi - I flew Saturday with IGrid for the first time. As I'm using an iPad Mini 2 I can't run a split screen of Sky Demon and Pilotaware Radar at the same time, so I've no idea if the connection remained between the Rosetta and my iPhone throughout the flight. Is there a log file to check this? Also, I noticed that the Rosetta does not automatically connect to my iPhone. I have to go to Settings, Personal Hotspot on my phone - then it connects. I forgot to do this on the second flight of the day. Is there a way to force the connection without remembering to open up the iPhone settings page? Thank you!

Yes, I don’t have a transponder. I only checked vector as I saw very few aircraft on my trip to Sandown this morning. Like I said I’ll download the log later. I run SkyDemon on a iPad mini 2 which doesn’t allow split screen so I wasn’t able to check the Green GSM mark in flight.

Hello - I’ve noticed that recent flights are not picking up any ADSB traffic. I checked using Vector. Hex code 4058EA. Where should I check first? Also today is first time flown with the new Wi-Fi dongle connected to my mobile. No idea if it was working. Will download logs later!

I’ve solved the issue. Licence had expired! Would be useful to get a reminder as the only email reminder got lost amongst everything else!

Hi. Tried to use PAW this evening and I just kept getting the message Connecting to Device on an iPad running SkyDemon. iPad was connected to the PAW wifi but Sky demon could not connect. I tried rebooting iPad and PAW but same message. Mentioned this to a fellow syndicate member and he had exactly the same problem last week, using a different iPad. Didn’t really have time to do too much troubleshooting. What would be worth checking first? Thanks.

Not sure if this is a question for Tim over on the SkyDemon forum, but would it be possible to display a "mast" symbol in corner of screen to show when a mast is within range and therefore uplink data is being received. Often the map could be zoomed in that you won't see ground station locations.

I will take a look at the actual model of Anker Powerbank you are using and see if that gives any pointers.

Please keep us posted of developments.

Did you ever get chance to look at this Powerbank and see if there is an issue with this model. I would like to buy a secondary powerbank as I think I left it plugged in after I flew yesterday! Would be good to have a spare anyway!

Thanks all. Maybe the charge 2 /4 might be a road to go down in future, especially as I would like to do more touring. Was put off by the cost and installation hassles! Flying last night my friend reported noise was occasional but much better.

Does anyone know of a shielded USB / lightning cable for the iPad? Found one on Amazon but out of stock.
