Title: Traffic / Contact Filters
Post by: bendavis on August 31, 2015, 07:14:56 pm
Hello, sorry if this is obvious once you have the system up & running but mine isn't built yet....

I was just thinking...If you fly to White Waltham.....will the screen be swamped with multiple contacts from Heathrow or can you set PA filters?
Even in open FIR.....I wouldn't be bothered by contacts more than 3 or 4 thousand feet above.

Thanks in advance
Ben

What device are you using to display data. For instance with skydemon, you can set filters x thousand feet below and above.

I have tested
SkyDemon
RunwayHD
EasyVFR
Air Navigation Pro

And I am sure they all have this filter capability

Thx

Hi Joerg
Firstly let me confirm, you have followed the instructions here ?
http://forum.pilotaware.com/index.php/topic,13.0.html

do you have a monitor connected to the PilotAware so you can see any debug messages being produced ?

Thx

Hi Lee,

I got it working today one time. I made a mistake with the pin.
Unfortunately now it's not working anymore. I will try again the next days and let you know.
Will post some pictures then too.

I think SkyMap does not have the traffic altitude filter feature. Would it be possible to add a filter option to the Collision App?

Hi
I think it sounds like an enhancement request for skymap really.
All the other nav tools have this feature I think ?

Thx
