Title: Raspberry Pi 3 B+
Post by: GT on June 14, 2019, 11:49:39 am
Hi guys

My old classic motherboard power connection failed, seems that the solder has come loose. So i purchased a new raspberry from amazon..fitted together but it will not connect up to skydemon or the configeration page.

Does anyone know how to sort this out...

Regards
Gary

Hi Gary,

You will need to ask Support ( support@pilotaware.com ) to transfer your existing licence to the new Pi. To do this they will need your name + the 12 digit MAC address of the original licensed PilotAware and the MAC address of the new unit, which you can get from the PAW Home Screen or from your phone / tablet by powering up the new unit and checking for the PilotAware WiFi Hotspot ( the MAC is the 12 digits of the PilotAware WiFi Name). You then need to put the Licence Key they give you into the new unit.

Be aware, however, that the existing (20180520) software doesn’t support the Pi3B+, so you will need to wait for the new software release and do a fresh full install of the new software on a new or fully reformatted microSD card.

Regards

Peter
